London Men’s Clinic’s Consultant Urologist and Andrologist Mr Hussain Alnajjar received a very well-deserved honour last week: Certification from Coloplast Interventional Urology’s Centre of Excellence.
What is The Coloplast Centre of Excellence Certification?
The Coloplast Centre of Excellence certification is awarded to surgeons who have successfully completed significant amounts of penile implant procedures on an annual basis and demonstrated their deep clinical expertise in the professional education and treatment of erectile dysfunction.
This certification is more than a recognition – it’s about honouring healthcare professionals whose commitment, expertise and actions empower clinical excellence, advance standards of patient care and inspire peers and trainees around them.

Who Is Hussain Alnajjar?
Mr Hussain Alnajjar is a Consultant Urological Surgeon, Andrologist and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.
Among other specialisms, Mr Hussain Alnajjar has a special interest in Erectile Dysfunction and Penile Prosthesis surgery.
He is a keen trainer and mentor for senior fellows who want to pursue a career in surgical andrology and urology.

What is Peyronie’s Disease?
One of Mr Hussain Alnajjar’s specialist areas of expertise is treating Peyronie’s Disease which is a condition where fibrous plaques, or scar tissue, form in the penile tunica albuginea. This causes a bend in the penis that can lead to pain and erectile dysfunction.
The condition typically has two stages: an acute phase with pain and progressive curvature, and a chronic phase where the curvature stabilizes. Diagnosis is based on symptoms and can involve imaging. Treatments range from injections and devices to surgery.
