At the international conference of Arab Association of Urologists (AAU) in Muscat, Oman November 2025, our expert, Mr Hussain Alnajjar delivered a plenary talk on the latest developments in managing ischaemic priapism – a condition where an erection lasts too long and becomes painful due to lack of blood flow. He highlighted how early, effective treatment can protect long-term sexual function, and shared updates on new approaches that improve outcomes for men facing this urgent problem.

A key focus of his talk was the growing role of penile prosthesis surgery when priapism has caused lasting damage. Mr Alnajjar discussed modern techniques that make implant placement safer and more successful, even in challenging cases. He also shared practical, experience-based tips that help surgeons achieve better results, reduce complications, and restore confidence for patients.

His insights reflect the continuing progress in men’s sexual-health care and reinforce the importance of expert, timely treatment for conditions like ischaemic priapism.
